AEW Broadcaster Jim Ross Addresses MJF’s Return

AEW Double or Nothing: MJF vs Adam Cole

Maxwell Jacob Friedman, also known as MJF, made his first appearance of 2024 at AEW Double or Nothing in Las Vegas. He confronted his former friend Adam Cole, who had betrayed him at World’s End the previous year. Despite Cole being sidelined with an injury, MJF managed to get some revenge by hitting him with a low blow during Double or Nothing.

Jim Ross on MJF’s Importance in AEW

AEW commentator Jim Ross recently shared his thoughts on MJF’s return on an episode of “Grilling JR.” He emphasized that MJF continues to play a crucial role in AEW’s success and speculated about Friedman potentially exploring options with WWE during his time off due to injury.

“He’s a main player in AEW and keeps people on their toes,” Ross stated. “He’s talented, has a great mind for wrestling, drama, and the overall performance. Despite potential interest from WWE, I’m glad to have MJF as a part of AEW for the long term.”

Comparing MJF to Paul Heyman

Ross drew a parallel between MJF and a recent WWE Hall of Famer, Paul Heyman, noting their intelligence and perception of the wrestling business. He expressed his excitement about MJF’s return and highlighted the value of his youth and talent in the industry.

Additionally, Ross mentioned MJF’s gesture of reaching out to him during a health scare, showing appreciation for the support.
